20 young people are charged after the demonstrations in Oslo

A total of 2+ Sami youths are charged by the district attorney in Oslo for the demonstrations in Oslo at the Fosen case.

- Punishing the Sami youth and their supporters would be yet another violation of their human rights - a violation of their freedom of speech and demonstration.

- National minorities have particularly strong protection for protests that are directed directly at those responsible in the government for the crimes against human rights to which the group is subjected, says lawyer Olaf Halvorsen Rønning at Elden Advokatfirma in a press release.

Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen is one of the 20 defendants and thinks it is "absurd".

- Even though it is with a bitter taste in our mouth that we are now getting ready for the trial, we look forward to presenting our case in court, she says.
