Parts of the investigation concerning several LVU cases in Gällivare were presented on Wednesday.

On site were the consultants Anna-Riika Törrönen and Eric Hietala.

Part of the criticism directed at social services was that the municipality ordered a DNA test to establish paternity.

Hietala said that social services had no right to do this - and that they even violated the constitution -

Offenses are rejected

But that it would be about breaking the law is rejected by the authority Forensic Medicine, which handles DNA tests from municipalities on a daily basis.

- It is absolutely possible, it is even good if it is done sometimes, says Jimmy Blomqvist Larsson, press secretary.

In addition, an amendment to the law has been made to further encourage municipalities to carry out such tests.

- It is free for municipalities since last year after a change in the law, says Jimmy Blomqvist Larsson.
