Representatives in the Polish Parliament voted - yesterday, Wednesday - in favor of lifting the immunity of the representative from the right-wing Confederation Party, Gazguz Brown, against the backdrop of his extinguishing the candles of the Jewish Hanukkah holiday in the House of Representatives using a fire extinguisher last December.

On December 13, 2023, Brown appeared in a video clip carrying a fire extinguisher, walking towards a Hanukkah menorah (a menorah that remains lit during the 8-day Jewish holiday of Hanukkah), and extinguishing the candles on the menorah after a lighting ceremony in Parliament.

Brown then entered the parliament hall to participate in the session, saying, “There can be no place for racist, tribal, and savage Talmudic acts of worship in the Parliament of the Republic of Poland!”, to which the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Simon Holofnia, responded, “A proposal will be sent to the Attorney General’s Office against Brown’s behavior.” He will be reported for obstructing a religious celebration.”

According to Brown, the charges against him include "clear and explicit insinuations and statements that contradict the actual situation and material truth. The materials included in the application contain quotes and fabrications. Some of the acts accused did not occur at all, and this can be proven based on audio and video recordings."

Brown commented on the decision to lift his immunity in a post on the Facebook platform, saying, “During the past two days, January 15-16, 2024, the Regulations, Parliamentary Affairs and Immunity Committee discussed the request of the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office to approve my submission to criminal justice. This committee is headed by Representative J. Urbaniak rejoiced in a scandalous way! She was completely deaf to our attention and our objections that the prosecution’s request included actions that had no place at all!”

Brown said in another post, “I say that I feel that I have done my duty well. I have restored the dignity of Parliament by putting an end to this racist Talmudic celebration. I wanted to put an end to the celebrations of Talmudic Satanists in the Parliament building in the Republic of Poland, because the Talmudic people, yes, are racist, and this It contradicts the principles not only of religion, but also of secular law, which determines the framework of public life in civilized countries.”

Brown wrote on his Instagram page, “If you are afraid, you are already a slave!”
