"The dispatch center of Ukrenergo warns of the possibility of a shortage in the power system at the level of 1% during the day," the company said on Telegram.

It is specified that the reason is an increase in consumption as a result of the projected cold snap and a decrease in electricity production by solar power plants during cloudy weather.

On December 7, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced that due to the ongoing hostilities and weather conditions, 408 settlements were disconnected from electricity.

Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Ukrainian Center for Energy Studies, reported that there are no plans to introduce nationwide power outages in Ukraine in winter.
