The Minister of Education, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, is at the heart of a controversy for having sent her children to a private school, due to the failure to replace teachers in the public sector. Upon her arrival at Littré Public School, from which she had removed her eldest son, the minister was greeted with a chorus of boos.

The new Minister of National Education Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, at the heart of a controversy related to her children's schooling, was booed and hissed at her arrival on Tuesday at the Littré public school, from where she had taken her eldest son to put him in private school, AFP found.

The minister, with a closed face, arrived at around 11:45 a.m. and was greeted with a chorus of boos, whistles and pots and pans by people demonstrating "in defense of public schools."
