He stressed that beer is an important export commodity for Germany.

"At the same time, it is unfriendly countries that are increasing the supply of this drink to our country and earning tens of millions of dollars on it," Didenko said in an interview with Izvestia.

The deputy stressed that tax deductions from this product go, among other things, to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"I am convinced that supplementing the list of products prohibited for import with beer will only benefit us," Didenko said.

In July, the Russian government introduced special economic measures against some goods from unfriendly countries. In particular, the restrictions affected the import of finished fish and seafood products into the country.
