The Israeli occupation army announced the death of a major officer, and the serious injury of two others in overnight battles in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israel announced on Monday evening that more of its soldiers and officers were wounded, while the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed the implementation of a series of operations against the occupation forces in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
For its part, Soroka Hospital in the Negev announced that it received 15 Israeli soldiers during the day yesterday as a result of the battles in Gaza, and earlier yesterday - also - the Israeli army announced the injury of 18 of its soldiers and officers as a result of the fighting in Gaza within 24 hours.
This coincided with the withdrawal of a full military division from the Gaza Strip, out of 4 divisions pushed by Israel in its war on the Strip, which has been going on for more than 100 days.

In turn, the Qassam Brigades said yesterday evening that its fighters raided from a tunnel an Israeli force on foot with machine guns from zero distance, and managed to eliminate 5 soldiers, east of the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
It also announced the targeting of another foot force with an anti-personnel missile, killing and wounding it east of Khan Yunis as well.
In the same axis, al-Qassam said its fighters detonated an anti-personnel thunderstorm in an Israeli foot force that advanced towards the eye of a tunnel.
Al-Qassam also shelled two gatherings of Israeli vehicles and soldiers in Khan Yunis with high-caliber mortars, according to its Telegram posts, and targeted an Israeli bulldozer with Al-Yassin 105 shell.
