In 2023, in the face of multiple unfavorable factors such as the unstable momentum of world economic recovery, weakening external demand, falling prices, and sluggish growth of major economies, Guangdong's foreign trade withstood the pressure, overcame many difficulties, and made overall steady progress and better than expected, with the scale hitting a record high, achieving the goal of promoting stability and improving quality, and playing the role of "main force" and "ballast stone" in the overall situation of national foreign trade.

Wen Zhencai said that in 2023, Guangdong's foreign trade operation will be generally stable, and the trend of improvement is obvious. In terms of share, Guangdong's foreign trade will account for 2023.19% of the country in 9, continuing to rank first in the country's foreign trade.

According to reports, in 2023, Guangdong's general trade import and export will be 4.78 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%, accounting for 57.6% of the total import and export value.
