The Times of Israel writes that the attack was carried out by a person who attacked people in several places.

At least two people are seriously injured and one person has life-threatening injuries, Haaretz reports, citing emergency services.

The Jerusalem Post reports that it was a combined car and knife attack.

The suspected perpetrator, a man in his 40s, has been arrested. He allegedly stabbed at least one woman, stole a car and hit people in several different places in the city, according to police, who added that the gunman changed cars three times after crashing.

"This is a very difficult incident with many injured," paramedic Viola Hachmon told The Jerusalem Post.

"As far as I know, everyone has already been evacuated to different hospitals, including those who are in critical condition.
