"The government has approved a comprehensive program to expand the production of aircraft, engines, instruments and related units and allowed the use of funds from the National Welfare Fund to finance it. On a repayable basis, it will be possible to attract more than 280 billion rubles for such purposes," he said.

It is specified that the program provides for the technical re-equipment of enterprises, an increase in plant capacity, the conduct of relevant research and development work, and so on.

Earlier it was reported that the first flight of the SJ-100 with the domestic PD-8 engine will take place in early 2024.
