In an interview with the Kabar news agency, he said that the organizers planned to hold mass riots. According to him, they were going to shoot several participants or use explosive devices to kill people.
"They would have blamed the authorities for the tragic outcome and, thereby intensifying the popular protest, would have gone to a more massive rally," Japarov added.
The president noted that there are other groups behind Tashov and Kurenov, but "the people will not follow them."
In November, a Kyrgyz citizen who called for riots was detained and deported in Moscow.
