In Israel, according to local media reports, there has been a deadly attack in the city of Ra'anana. According to the report, a man is said to have driven various cars into crowds in the suburb of Tel Aviv. There was also a stabbing, which is apparently connected to the incident.

According to the Magen David Adom ambulance service, a total of 19 people were injured in Ra'anana. The Israeli police initially put the number of injured at 13.

According to the Israeli police, a 44-year-old Palestinian from Hebron was detained after the attack. He is said to have stabbed a woman and taken control of her car, reports the newspaper »Haaretz«. He is said to have driven the car into the crowd. When he lost control of the car, he reportedly took control of another one to drive into the crowd again.

Haaretz reports, citing a witness, that she "saw someone stab three people near the shopping center. [The attacker] stole a car and ran over other people."

The security situation in Israel and the West Bank has deteriorated further since the attack by the terrorist organization Hamas on October 7. In addition to Israeli Jews, many Jewish immigrants from the USA, Europe and South Africa live in Ra'anana.
