The president of the National Rally will be in Gironde this Saturday to show his support for the farmers' angry movement. For several weeks, they have been protesting, among other things, against the excessive standards.

He started 2023 with a trip to a bakery, in the midst of the food inflation crisis. In 2024, Jordan Bardella will start the year with a trip to the Haut-Médoc, in support of farmers.

The president of the National Rally will take part in a round table and present his solutions to respond to the anger of farmers. For several weeks, they have been taking part in the operation, "We walk on our heads", which consists of turning over the entrance signs to their municipalities.

Putting an end to normative inflation

Jordan Bardella wants to make agriculture one of the priorities of the European election campaign. The party sees this as an opportunity to defend "the France of work" and the fight against "rural erasure". On Monday, during his greetings to the press, the president of the RN recalled his measures on the subject, such as the almost total repeal of inheritance tax for farmers wishing to transfer their farm and the establishment of an "agricultural exception", which aims "in a logic of economic patriotism, to ensure that our food products have priority on public markets".

Finally, Jordan Bardella wants to reiterate his opposition to free trade agreements and the taxation of RNG (non-road diesel), which is at the origin of the large farmers' demonstrations in Germany. He will have the opportunity to talk about it this Thursday, during a speech in the plenary session of the European Parliament, before the leaders of the European Union.
