Evoking the major texts to come: end of life and abortion

For the first time since his re-election, Emmanuel Macron has invited all the leaders of his camp to the Élysée Palace. The new government, the deputies, the senators but also the ministers who have just lost their posts. A pillar of Renaissance assures that, this Monday evening, the President of the Republic wants above all to listen to each other and to talk about the calendar and the major texts to come, particularly on the end of life and abortion. The aim is to reunite the majority before reassuring the whole country.

Setting the course

Indeed, the head of state will hold a major press conference on Tuesday at 20:15 p.m., the fourth time since 2017 that he has confronted journalists in this format. "He had never even lent himself to such an exercise, broadcast in prime time on several television channels," said one of his close associates, who promised that Emmanuel Macron would answer all the questions and clarify his course.

It is also a way for the head of state to regain the media upper hand before the general policy speech that his new Prime Minister Gabriel Attal is due to deliver to the Assembly in the next 10 days.
