US military personnel in Deir Ezzor, northern Syria (Anatolia)

The US military has sent military reinforcements to its bases in areas controlled by the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the northern Syrian countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Local sources told Anatolia on Sunday that reinforcements entered from Iraq during the last two days towards US bases in Hasaka and Deir Ezzor.

A convoy of reinforcements comprising about 15 vehicles carrying medical equipment and supplies entered from the al-Waleed border crossing into al-Hasakah, she said.

Two U.S. cargo planes also landed at the Kharab al-Jir base in Hasaka last night.

Thus, the US military sent the first convoys of reinforcements to its forces in Deir Ezzor and Hasaka in 2024.

US forces in Syria establish many bases and military points in the provinces of Hasakah, Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, which are controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Washington regularly sends reinforcements to military bases and outposts located in oil fields controlled by Kurdish forces loyal to Turkey's Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
