Shortly before 12 o'clock, the police were alerted to a fight in Jönköping. Once at the scene, it was clear that a man had gone from a residence to a wooded area with a weapon.
When the police meet the man, a commotion ensues and a police officer is injured. Another police officer fires his service weapon and hits the perpetrator. The man is taken to hospital with unclear injuries, but is said to be awake and able to speak.
The area has been cordoned off and traffic at Kungsängsvägen has been closed. According to the police, there is no danger to the public.
