Qassam fighter targets Israeli vehicle in Gaza (social media)

Clashes focused in Gaza, on Sunday, in the center and south of the Strip, with the resistance factions announcing new operations against the occupation soldiers, while the Israeli army said it found tunnel openings in the middle of the Strip, and the Israeli Soroka Hospital announced the arrival of 8 soldiers injured in the Gaza battles during the past 24 hours.

Al-Jazeera correspondent reported clashes between the resistance and the occupation in the town of Al-Zawaida and Al-Nuseirat camp, in the central Gaza Strip.

For its part, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that its fighters shelled the Israeli occupation forces penetrating into the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip with high-caliber mortar shells.

Al-Qassam said that its fighters targeted two Merkava tanks and a military bulldozer with "Al-Yassin 105" shells east of Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, and confirmed that the fighters killed and wounded the soldiers in the tanks.

It added that its fighters also reported the explosion of two tunnels in the occupation soldiers and a minefield in a foot force of 7 soldiers, and broadcast scenes of the destruction of a troop carrier in the Maghazi camp, which is besieged by the occupation amid reports of indiscriminate shooting at civilians.

The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, said it shelled a position of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the Maghazi refugee camp with a barrage of mortar shells, and shelled towns in the Gaza Strip with simultaneous rocket launches.

In the southern Gaza Strip, al-Qassam said it had shelled Israeli army build-up in the Mahatta area of Khan Yunis with mortar shells.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades said that it shelled crowds of Israeli soldiers and vehicles with a barrage of mortar shells in the Al-Katiba area in the center of Khan Yunis.

Occupation casualties

Israel's Soroka Hospital said it had received eight soldiers wounded in Gaza fighting in the past 8 hours.

Since the beginning of the war, the hospital has received 2478,14 wounded, 35 of them seriously, and continues to treat <> soldiers injured in Gaza, the hospital said.

The Israeli army announced earlier this month that the 669 Rescue Unit had evacuated more than a thousand wounded since the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

In the context of the Israeli incursion, army spokesman Daniel Hagari said that their forces found two tunnel openings in a building in the central Gaza Strip, and a tunnel opening in the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip that contained weapons, as he put it.

The military spokesman added that army forces on Saturday destroyed a rocket-propelled grenade complex in the Beit Lahiya area in northern Gaza.

An Israeli march bombed four members of Hamas' elite forces, killing a fifth member who was advancing towards the forces, he said.

Hagari also said that the IDF would focus its operations on the central and southern Gaza Strip differently than they did in the north, without explaining its significance, announcing the "dismantling" of Hamas's military command structure in the northern Gaza Strip, he said.

Meanwhile, Israel's Channel 12 quoted Defense Minister Yoav Galant as assuring the families of the captured soldiers that the war would not end until all the prisoners were returned.

The Israeli government criticizes the army for not being able to achieve the goals of the war in Gaza, especially since it has not been able to recover any prisoners in military operations, some of which have resulted in the deaths of prisoners.
