This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the regional department of the traffic police.
The accident occurred near the village of Smelost, Pugachevsky district, at 05:35 Moscow time.
"According to preliminary data, there was a collision between a VAZ-2114 car driven by a man born in 1982 and a VAZ-2111 driven by a man born in 1980," the department noted.
As a result of the accident, one man died on the spot, and another died in the hospital. Three others were hospitalized, including a 14-year-old.
Earlier it was reported that in Kuzbass, a truck crushed to death a child who was rolling down a slide in the yard.
