Ten people were killed and 45 others wounded in a Ukrainian attack on Belgorod, a Russian city about 30 kilometers from the border, the country's authorities said on Saturday.

Nine adults and one child were killed in Belgorod by shelling by the Ukrainian army," the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Telegram, adding that 45 people were wounded, including four children. Images released by authorities showed vehicles on fire and buildings with broken windows.
