The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, said that he spoke with the head of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, and offered to help him. Gladkov replied that the region is currently coping on its own. Starovoit added that doctors and repair crews with equipment are ready to move to the rescue at any time.

Also, the governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev, expressed his condolences to the residents of Belgorod.

"They (the Armed Forces of Ukraine. — RT) no longer bother to hide their true colors. They cannot honestly defeat the Russians on the battlefield, so they are surreptitiously hitting peaceful cities and villages," he said.

Earlier, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said that as a result of the shelling of Belgorod by Ukrainians, 12 adults and two children were killed.
