Chinanews.com, Beijing, December 12 (Reporter Li Jingze) The seminar on "China and Tajikistan: Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" was held in Beijing recently.

Wang Changlin, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 31 years ago, China-Tajikistan relations have developed by leaps and bounds, reaching the best level in history. Today's world is chaotic and intertwined, and the evolution of changes in a century is accelerating. Under the new circumstances, China and Tajikistan should work together to comprehensively enhance the level of cooperation in various fields and promote the building of a China-Tajikistan community with a shared future featuring friendship for generations, solidarity and mutual benefit.

Mohammad Abdullahmon, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, said that Tajikistan supports the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by China, and is willing to promote the in-depth integration of Tajikistan's national development strategy with the Belt and Road Initiative to achieve common prosperity.

During the one-day seminar, a number of scholars from China and Tajikistan had in-depth exchanges on topics such as "Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Civilizations, Exploring Diversified Paths to Modernization", "Crisis and Change in the New International Situation", and "Challenges and Prospects of China-Tajikistan Cooperation".

Sun Zhuangzhi, director of the Institute of Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said that China and Tajikistan are both developing countries, and both countries are at a critical stage of realizing national rejuvenation and national modernization. China has carried out good-neighborly and friendly cooperation with Central Asian countries, including Tajikistan, and has formed a high-level, all-round, multi-level and wide-ranging development pattern, achieving common development, and China-Central Asia cooperation will become a good example of building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Zhang Zhiqiang, director of the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said that the theory of Chinese-style modernization is a theoretical summary based on the practice of China's modernization, and it is also a Chinese theory on the modernization process of human society finally formed by the Communist Party of China over the past hundred years of systematic exploration of the purpose, goal, practical path, core essence and philosophical foundation of modernization. The practical path of modernization is not to copy the ready-made model, but to be the result of creative practice based on the national conditions and civilization foundation of the country. Therefore, the modernization paths of different countries and regions must have their own characteristics, which are rooted in the rich and diverse and long-standing heritage of civilization.

Mamur Mirvesov, director of the International Cooperation Bureau of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, said that despite the current tense and turbulent international situation, Tajikistan-China relations are still a priority for Tajikistan's diplomacy. He suggested further consolidating and deepening people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, carrying out various forms of cooperation such as joint research, academic visits, special seminars, and personnel training, so as to continuously enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples, and promote exchanges and mutual learning between Tajikistan and Chinese with greater strength.

Komulon Kudratov, director of the Institute of Asian and European Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, believes that Tajikistan-China relations are based not only on deep historical roots, but also on the current practical needs and a solid foundation of public opinion. In the future, under the China-Central Asia cooperation mechanism, the two sides should further deepen strategic mutual trust, promote common development, seek regional security, and continuously deepen the traditional friendship between the two countries.

The symposium was co-sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
