"In 2023, the Russian Foreign Ministry should allocate budget allocations in the amount of 600,000 thousand rubles from the reserve fund of the Government of the Russian Federation... for financial support of activities, bearing in mind the preparation and holding of the Intervision International Popular Song Contest in 2024 in the city of St. Petersburg," the text of the document says.

Earlier, Konstantin Ernst, General Director of Channel One, proposed to hold the Intervision music competition in 2024.

According to him, this competition will reflect the level of popular art from all over the world.
