The weather continues to be unstable with new areas of precipitation in large parts of Sweden. This is partly due to a low pressure that is coming in from the British Isles.

Mainly in the south, wind, snow and rain are expected at midnight. In the north, it will mainly be cold, but the forecast also shows some haze and fog.

The unstable weather then continues into New Year's Day, the big takeaway day.

"Then you'll have to hold on to the pizza box until your knuckles turn white, because it's going to be really windy," says meteorologist Nils Holmqvist.
