It was at 16.20 that the police received information about a shooting and an injured person in the Marielund district of Norrköping.
Several units were called to the scene and a cordon was set up.
Shot to death
Shortly after 17 p.m., the police announced on their website that the person who was shot is dead. According to the police, it is an 18-year-old man who lost his life and the police have reclassified the incident as murder.
Next of kin have been notified.
"There are no suspects in the case at this stage," says Marcus Anefur, spokesperson for the police.
Managed in a restaurant
Barely a month ago, a young man was shot dead in a restaurant not far from the address in question. But it is unclear whether the incidents are connected.
"Right now, it's too early to make a connection or draw any conclusions. We'll deal with this initially and we'll see what we come up with," says Marcus Anefur.
