On February 17, the police raided an address in Skogås, south of Stockholm, where the girl was being detained. She had been kidnapped since February 15.

Four men were arrested, one of them in his 20s who has been in custody since February.

Two more, a 19-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, were suspected of failing to disclose the robbery.

Kept tethered to elements

The background to the kidnapping is said to have been a debt of SEK 30,000 to one of the perpetrators. She was forcibly taken from the Vega commuter train station by him and another man, aged 25. In an attempt to reclaim the debt, they have threatened to kill the girl and her family.

She was then held by three men at an address in Skogås, both in an apartment and a basement. Among other things, she was imprisoned to a radiator and beaten.

On the night of February 16, the girl was taken to an address in Haninge where, according to the indictment, she had been raped by a 26-year-old man, under threat with a gun-like object.

Two sentenced to prison – one acquitted of rape

The 20-year-old who has been detained has been sentenced by Södertörn District Court to five years in prison for the robbery and attempted extortion.

The 25-year-old man was sentenced to four years in prison for kidnapping. A 16-year-old boy has been sentenced to juvenile service for aiding and abetting kidnapping.

The 26-year-old who was charged with aggravated rape, on the other hand, was acquitted. He has denied the crime and the court does not consider it proven that it is rape.

The two people who did not disclose the kidnapping are sentenced to day fines.

The five other people now convicted have also denied any wrongdoing. The evidence against the convicted men includes messages on social media, text messages and witness statements.
