It is reported that three men went hunting in the Kazachinsko-Lensky district and decided to wait out the bad weather in the winter quarters. A fire broke out in the room due to overheating of the furnace.

All three got out, but one of them received severe burns and died, the other hunter suffered severe frostbite on his feet. A third man reached the nearest village and called for help.

"A Mi-8 helicopter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry flew to the scene with four rescuers on board. The men will be provided with the necessary assistance and evacuated. Local rescuers with a guide are also going to the scene," the department said.

Earlier it was reported that in the Khabarovsk Territory, the men who disappeared while rafting down the river were found alive a week later.
