Biden's approach to Israel has led to increased disagreements within the Democratic Party, according to the poll (Reuters)

An opinion poll conducted by an American channel showed that a large percentage of Americans oppose President Joe Biden's handling of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

In the CBS News poll, 61 percent of those surveyed expressed opposition to the Biden administration's handling of this aggression, and 34 percent believed its actions did not serve peace. While 20% said they believe it has brought the matter closer to a peaceful solution, and 46% believe that the actions of the presidential administration have no impact.

While most respondents preferred not to comment on Biden's approach to pro-Palestinian protests in the United States, the poll showed that more people wanted him to condemn those protests than those who wanted to support them. It was also noted in the poll that Biden's approach to Israel led to increased disagreements within the Democratic Party.

The poll included 2144,<> people and was conducted from the sixth to the eighth of December.
