That Christmas is here is announced by the lights that already adorn most cities. In just a few days, if it hasn't already been done, the gift shopping, the choice of the Christmas Eve menu, the usual dinner with co-workers and groups of friends will begin... Undoubtedly, the end of the year is a time to enjoy with family and friends, although without forgetting the balance in our domestic economy, because expenses increase, but we cannot forget that, once the holidays are over, we must face not only the New Year's resolutions but also, and above all, the slope of January.

At this time of year it is common for our energy consumption to be higher than usual since we usually have the Christmas lights on all day, the fridge always full and the oven at full capacity for hours. That's why the best way to start the new year is by saving on your electricity and gas bills, while taking advantage of the best discounts on a wide selection of brands.

To get it, all you have to do is download Waylet and use it to pay for your Christmas shopping. With more than seven million users, Repsol's payment app is the best ally for this holiday season – and yes, also during the rest of the year – as it allows you to accumulate balance that can be used in future payments through the app or to reduce the amount of your electricity bill. which can even be free. A savings exercise that will help you balance the accounts of that small business we call family.

How does saving work? Through its Energy Plans, Repsol offers its customers a series of discounts that increase depending on the number of energy contracts they have contracted with the energy company. If you have electricity with Repsol and use Waylet to make purchases worth 2,000 euros a year in stores as common as Amazon.es, El Corte Inglés, Decathlon, AliExpress or Ikea, you can accumulate a balance of up to 100 euros. If, in addition, you refuel 2,000 liters of fuel per year, the Repsol app will refund the balance of up to 200 additional euros.

In total, up to 300 euros of savings per year to be used for refuelling, electricity and gas bills and purchases in countless brands. And there's more, the benefits don't end here: you can also redeem this balance at electric charging points, car washes, public parking meters and purchases at any of the more than 4,400 establishments adhered to the Waylet network.

Discounts for refuelling or recharging your car

Last April, Repsol launched a pioneering initiative in Spain to help its customers save, the Energy Plans, which are based on a simple formula: the more energy you have contracted with the multi-energy company (electricity, gas or solar panels), the greater the discounts you get when paying for fuel or electric recharging with Waylet.

The energy company doubled the amount of these discounts in September, and will keep them that way until January 10. In this way, using Waylet you can accumulate savings in balance of between 10 and 40 cents per litre on your petrol or diesel refuelling, and up to 100% of the recharge if we have an electric car.

Another way to get credit and, therefore, save money is to buy in our favourite stores for clothing, sports equipment, electronics, home or garden... using gift cards purchased on Waylet. Depending on the number of supplies we have contracted with Repsol, the savings can reach up to 40% of the expenditure made in a long list of associated brands. These cards can be purchased by entering the Benefits section of the app or by accessing the private area of repsol.es.

All this makes downloading and using the Waylet app the best option to optimize expenses in the usual purchases of these dates and when refueling or recharging our car. Accumulating a balance and using it to reduce the amount of our electricity bill is, pun intended, making Christmas shine brighter.
