On December 12, under the guidance of the Network Communication Bureau of the Cyberspace Administration of the Central Committee of the People's Republic of China, the "Picturesque Rivers and Mountains" online theme publicity activity (Hainan) interview group sponsored by China News Network and the Cyberspace Administration of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee walked into the South China Sea Museum of China (Hainan) to trace the prosperous scene of the Maritime Silk Road.

The South China Sea Museum (Hainan) is located in Tanmen Town, Qionghai City, and its exhibitions showcase the cultural history, natural ecology, cultural heritage protection of the South China Sea, as well as economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges between China and neighboring countries in the South China Sea. The existing collections include cultural relics from the South China Sea, cultural relics exported from the past dynasties, biological specimens of the South China Sea, historical relics of Hainan, and ship models of past dynasties.

In the vast South China Sea, there are many islands, reefs, beaches and sands. With the themes of "Memories of the South China Sea", "Gardens of the South China Sea", "Treasures of the South China Sea", "Storms of the South China Sea" and "Protection of the South China Sea", the exhibition comprehensively and intensively displays the diversity of the natural ecology, biology and resources of the South China Sea through the display of marine biological specimens, terrestrial biological specimens, minerals and living marine organisms.

In the 20s of the 90th century, the State Department of Cultural Relics organized and implemented the survey of cultural relics and underwater archaeology of Xisha Islands, and found a number of ancient shipwreck sites and underwater cultural relics, and a large number of ceramics, copper coins and stone carvings were unearthed from the water. At the beginning of the 21st century, underwater archaeological excavations and cultural heritage protection were carried out in the South China Sea on the shipwrecks of the Song Dynasty "Nanhai I", "Huaguangjiao I" and the Ming Dynasty "Nanao I", and a very rich cultural relics were produced.

Of particular interest is the "Special Exhibition of the Wreck of the Xisha Huaguang Reef I". The wreck of Xisha Huaguang Reef I was discovered in 1996 and officially excavated in 2007-2008, and more than <>,<> pieces of cultural relics were unearthed, mainly ceramics, as well as ironware, wooden ship plates and a small number of bronze fragments. The exhibition takes the wreck of Huaguang Jiao I as the core, based on the wreck itself, through the analysis and display of tens of thousands of cultural relics and wreck structures, and comprehensively interprets the discovery, water, hull, cargo and other information of the wreck. According to reports, the fruitful excavation results of the ancient shipwreck of Huaguang Jiao I prove that ancient Chinese maritime trade has a long history, that Chinese and Western cultural exchanges and trade sources have a long history, and that Hainan Island and Nanhai Zhudao are important as a haven, supply station and relay station on the Maritime Silk Road.
