A helicopter transports soldiers to a hospital in Beersheba after being wounded in Gaza (European) battles

Today, Saturday, the Israeli occupation army announced the killing of 5 of its soldiers, including officers, in battles with the Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip, 4 of them in the southern Gaza Strip.

This brings the total number of IDF deaths since the beginning of the war to 425, including 102 killed in ground battles inside Gaza.

The army said in a statement that reservists Lev Atya, 25, from Beersheba (south) and Omri Ben Shachar, 25, from Giv'tayim (center), were killed in fighting in the southern Gaza Strip.

He said soldier Jonathan Dean Jr. Haim, 25, from Ramat Gan, and soldier Maor Cohen Eisenkot, 19, from Eilat (south), were also killed in fighting in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to the newspaper "Maariv", the slain soldier Maor Cohen, nephew of the minister in the War Council and former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, whose son Gall, was killed on Thursday during a battle in the Jabalya camp, northern Gaza, and was buried on Friday.

According to the army statement, on Saturday, soldier Haim Meir Eden, 20, from Rehovot (center), a fighter in the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade, died of serious wounds sustained on October 7.

In the same statement, the Israeli army also announced that three soldiers and a company commander were seriously wounded, two of them in battles in the central Gaza Strip, and the other two during clashes in the northern Gaza Strip.

Thousands of injured

Earlier on Saturday, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that 5,<> Israeli soldiers had been wounded since the beginning of the war on Gaza and the battle of the Al-Aqsa flood on October <>.

She added that the Israeli Ministry of Defense has recognized two thousand soldiers as disabled so far, noting that the rehabilitation department of the Ministry of Defense receives 60 wounded daily, most of them seriously.

The newspaper pointed out that 12% of the wounded of the Israeli army suffered internal tears, and that 7% of the soldiers and officers of the Israeli army suffer from direct psychological symptoms.

Since October 7, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has left 17,700 martyrs and 48,780 injured, most of them children and women, massive destruction of infrastructure, and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to official Palestinian and UN sources.
