Activists on social media platforms issued calls for a comprehensive strike around the world, next Monday, in solidarity with the people of the Gaza Strip in the face of the Israeli war machine.
The activists said they had launched a campaign to push for a global strike, with the aim of pressuring governments to act seriously to stop the Israeli massacres and genocide that have been going on for more than two months.
A large number of activists and influencers reacted to the hashtag ##إضراب_من_أجل_غزة strikeforgaza, which swept social media.
The campaigners believe that paralyzing life and the economic wheel in all countries may contribute to making everyone feel directly affected by the aggression on Gaza.
Since October 7, the Israeli army has waged a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, leaving 17,487 martyrs, 46,480 wounded, most of them children and women, massive destruction of infrastructure, and an "unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe," according to official Palestinian and UN sources.
