The joint cruise in the Greater Bay Area lasted for 4 days, and the South China Sea Coast Patrol Law Enforcement Corps of the Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration dispatched "Haixun 0966" to participate in the whole process, and dispatched drones to coordinate patrol supervision in the region. "Haixun 0966" starts from the Nansha Maritime Work Boat Wharf in Guangzhou, and carries out joint law enforcement with water patrol law enforcement forces in Machong, Dongguan, Panyu and Huangpu in Guangzhou, Chancheng, Jiujiang and Shunde in Foshan, Gaoyao in Zhaoqing, Xiaolan in Zhongshan, Jiuzhou and Guishan in Zhuhai, and Baoan in Shenzhen along the way.

It is reported that the joint cruise in the Greater Bay Area is a powerful measure to implement the Ministry of Transport's "Opinions on Promoting the Development of Maritime Services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area". In recent years, Guangdong Maritime has taken the initiative to safeguard the safety of life and property, maintain the cleanliness of the waters of the Greater Bay Area, and promote the development of shipping, effectively maintaining the good navigation order of the waters of the Greater Bay Area, and contributing to the safe, efficient and green development of shipping in the Greater Bay Area.

Guo Weibin, deputy director of the Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration, said that the joint cruise not only covered the supervision of key waters, important sections and key ships, but also made specific arrangements for the prevention of seasonal water traffic safety risks such as the safety supervision of the bridge area during the dry season, laying a solid foundation for the supervision of the cruise in key waters of the Pearl River Estuary at the end of the year and the beginning of the year. In addition, we also require all units to increase precise law enforcement, and take this joint cruise as an opportunity to carry out a "retrospective" on the rectification of hidden dangers in the past, so as to ensure that the hidden dangers are really rectified, implemented, and in place.

During the joint cruise, law enforcement personnel will focus on inspecting the navigation environment and navigation order of ships in the waters along the way, the operation of ships at wharves and anchorages, and the familiarity of ships with the navigation requirements of bridge waters, further strengthen the safety supervision of sand mining and transportation ships, floating cranes, and passenger-related ships, and investigate and deal with outstanding illegal behaviors such as illegal anchorage, overloading, speeding, insufficient manning, not being on duty in accordance with regulations, not using AIS in a standardized manner, not listening to VHF, not wearing life jackets by personnel of annex boats, and illegal sewage discharge.
