"A terrorist act prepared by the special services of Ukraine, aimed at destroying critical transport and energy infrastructure facilities, has been solved," the FSB said in a press release.

It is noted that a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, born in 1971, was detained in the Omsk region.

The report says that the detainee blew up on November 29 and 30 two trains with oil products traveling along the routes "Tayshet-Tynda" and "Tayshet-Neryungri" along the Baikal-Amur Mainline in Buryatia.

The man confessed that on the instructions of a compatriot living in Lithuania, he took eight explosive devices from the cache, brought them by car to Buryatia and planted them on the tanks of freight trains.
