Al-Jazeera published an audio clip recorded by the mother of its correspondent in Gaza, Moamen Al-Sharafi, two days before she was killed in an Israeli shelling of the house where they were displaced in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
The late began her message by greeting her son and asking about his condition and the condition of his wife and children, and asked him to pay attention to himself and prayed for him to come out of this war safely.
She concluded the letter by saying, "By God, I miss you. And I pray for you every day. May God be pleased with you and bless you."
It is noteworthy that 21 members of the family of colleague Moamen Al-Sharafi were killed in the bombing on Wednesday, including his father and mother and a number of his brothers, sisters and their children.
