Wang Wenbin: On December 12, the Chinese Human Rights Development Foundation held an international seminar in Beijing on "Commemorating the 5th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights". High-level officials from Asian, African, Latin American and European countries and the UN Human Rights Office, as well as envoys to China, experts and scholars, and representatives of civil society organizations attended the event. Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech, in-depth introduction of President Xi Jinping's important expositions on human rights issues, the rich connotations of Chinese's human rights development path, and his position on global human rights governance.

At the seminar, all parties conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the promotion of economic, social and cultural rights, the development path of human rights, and global human rights governance, and expressed their insights on the path of reforming and improving global human rights governance under the new situation. The "Beijing Declaration" issued at the symposium reflects the consensus of the international community and provides useful inspiration for advancing the cause of human rights in the world.
