"It can't wait. Congress needs to approve additional funding for Ukraine before they start spending the funds on the festivities," he said.
The American leader also claims that if the United States does not help Kyiv, it will jeopardize the support of Ukraine from European states.
Earlier, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said that Republicans in the US Senate would not support the White House's request for assistance to Ukraine without a decision to protect the American border.
