Istanbul Takeoff Summit held in cooperation with 43 Turkish institutions (Al Jazeera)

The sixth edition of the Takeoff Summit, an international summit for startups, entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and all influencers in the startup ecosystem, opened in Istanbul, Turkey, on Tuesday.

The summit, which is organized in cooperation with 43 Turkish institutions, under the leadership of the Turkish Technology Team Endowment, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and the Presidential Investment Office, aims to turn entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

The two-day summit will witness a race in various fields, including topics such as medical and health services, automotive, aviation, logistics, energy and business management.

It also includes the fields of financial banking, digital advertising, data automation, gaming, artificial intelligence, robotics, wearable technologies, education, agricultural and natural technologies, transportation, and communication technology.

Competition and investment

Many different innovative initiatives are competing at the summit, where entrepreneurs have the opportunity to meet more than 100 investors to express their ideas.

The summit gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to transform into companies and turn their projects into success stories with the opportunity to network internationally. At the same time, it includes exciting content that gives visitors the opportunity to try different products on the platforms of entrepreneurs and sponsoring companies.

The process of evaluating the projects, ideas and applications submitted by two or more evaluators, taking into account the idea that they provide a solution to the problem in question, and that they are appropriate for the market. The Take-Off Summit draws attention – through inspiring speakers with innovative ideas – to trends related to different sectors and the future-oriented phase.

Former IAU President Jean-Yves Le Gal, Dima Jani, CEO of Hijra Group, and Mirko Kovac Lab founder and director of the Sustainable Robotics Lab addressed the summit.

The summit will also be attended by co-founder and CEO of Insider Handi Çelinger, FARC Lab founder Aho Serter, Microsoft Turkey General Manager Levent Özbilgin and other experts.

The summit, which was first held in 2018, offers a unique experience for entrepreneurs, investors, startups and technology enthusiasts over two days.
