More than 400 Israeli soldiers and officers killed since October 7 (French)

The Palestinian resistance in Gaza announced the launch of a rocket barrage at Beersheba in southern Israel, while the occupation army said it intercepted 7 rockets fired at the Negev region on Tuesday morning.

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said the targeting of Ashkelon was in response to Israeli massacres of civilians in the enclave, home to some 2.3 million Palestinians.

Later, al-Qassam reported that its fighters targeted three Israeli vehicles with "Yassin 3" shells east of the city of Khan Yunis.

For its part, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said it targeted an Israeli military vehicle with a rocket-propelled grenade near the al-Awda bakery east of Khan Yunis.

The Israeli army announced on Tuesday the killing of an officer and two soldiers of the armored corps in the Gaza Strip last night, noting that 4 others were seriously wounded, including an officer from the parachute unit.

On Monday, the Israeli military said its death toll since the start of the war on Oct. 7 had risen to 401 soldiers and officers.

Various areas of northern and southern Gaza are witnessing heavy shelling and belts of fire affecting many homes, residential buildings and the vicinity of hospitals.

For 60 days, the Israeli occupation army has launched an aggression on the Gaza Strip, killing 16,42 Palestinians and more than <>,<> wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to official Palestinian sources.
