Paris: what if you bought your Christmas tree on... Uber Eats?

Uber is talking about a new service that could well seduce Parisians without a vehicle. In a press release, the American company announced a partnership with Monceau Fleurs to deliver Christmas trees to the inhabitants of the capital, via the Uber Eats application. This avoids the delicate transport of a 1.75m high conifer on the bus or metro.

Two Nordmann models are available. One of 125 by 150cm at the price of 49.99 euros and the other of 150 by 175cm at the price of 59.99 euros. It is also possible to add a Handicap International Christmas tree bag to the order, part of the price of which is directly donated to the actions carried out by the association. For all orders, Uber says delivery is free.

Delivery in 45 minutes

The service has been available since last Friday and will be available until December 17 inclusive "from 13 p.m. to 20 p.m. from Monday to Friday and on weekends from noon to 20 p.m." The platform promises delivery in 45 minutes, on average. Uber also points out that Monceau Fleurs fir trees are "grown in France and Belgium with producers carefully selected for their know-how and commitment to saving forests".

The conifers also benefit from the MPS or "Blue Plant" label, guaranteeing a lower use of pesticides and a ban on "any product considered dangerous for humans and the environment". If you'd like to give it a try, you'll need to select the "Mon Beau Sapin by Monceau Fleurs" store in Paris on your Uber Eats app.
