Earlier this week, electric car giant Tesla sued the Swedish government and Postnord, for failing to deliver license plates to Tesla. The reason was that Postnord's postmen are sympathy striking against Tesla in the ongoing conflict with IF Metall.

"PostNord's stance in a conflict that we fundamentally stand outside has been that the right to strike is constitutionally protected and therefore applies over the delivery obligation in the Postal Act," PostNord writes in a press release.

Tesla argued in its lawsuit that Postnord's actions constitute a "targeted and unlawful attack on Tesla", and wrote, among other things, that the company has "seized shipments", which the car company calls "almost system-threatening".

Postnord describes Tesla's comments as "out of touch with reality".

PostNord's obligations will now be decided in Solna District Court.
