The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the number of martyrs as a result of Israeli raids since the end of the truce on Friday morning has risen to 178 and the wounded to 589, as the occupation army targeted residential buildings throughout the Gaza Strip and bombed an UNRWA school housing displaced people.

This toll is in addition to the more than 15,36 martyrs in Gaza since the start of the Israeli war, most of them women and children, and more than 7,<> wounded, in addition to about <>,<> missing.

Large fires broke out in the northern Gaza Strip this evening as a result of continuous Israeli shelling, according to Al Jazeera's correspondent.


The correspondent said that the Israeli raids targeted a school belonging to UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) housing displaced people in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation forces also shelled the vicinity of another school housing displaced persons in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in martyrs and injuries.

The shelling also spread to residential blocks in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, where a number of martyrs and injuries were killed.


Another was hit by an ambulance while trying to rescue a number of survivors, journalist Jihad Abu Shanab told Al Jazeera.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah.

At least nine Palestinians were killed in a raid on a house in the Yabna refugee camp in central Rafah.
