The residents that SVT Nyheter Skåne spoke to at Charlottesborg on Friday experienced the area as calm.

"I like it here, it's very quiet and nice," says Atrina Meshkini, who has lived in the area for two years.

Throwing stones at emergency services

But it's been messy before. On New Year's Eve a few years ago, stone-throwing and New Year's Eve fireworks were aimed at emergency personnel. On one occasion, SVT Nyheter Skåne's reporter found drugs in a stairwell.

The success factor for reversing the trend, according to Malin Månsson, team leader for the Field Group in Kristianstad, has been collaboration.

"There are many of us who have worked for many years in the municipality," says Malin Månsson.
