In response to a series of cases in which women who have used unscrupulous host clubs have been charged high fees later, the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan has submitted a bill to the Diet calling for the development of consultation systems by the national and local governments.

In unscrupulous host clubs, there have been a number of cases in which the restaurant or host reimburses the customer's food and drink fee and later charges it as "accounts receivable", and the woman who used it is forced to work at a sex shop or be forced into prostitution to repay.

The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP) has submitted a bill to the House of Representatives to strengthen measures to prevent damage after hearing from the parties concerned.

The bill calls for the national government to investigate the actual situation of damage caused by malicious host clubs, and for the national and local governments to establish a consultation system for people and their families whose lives are interfered with due to high bills.

In addition, further measures will be taken if necessary based on the situation of damage and other factors around one year after the enforcement of the law.

Fumika Shiomura, a member of the House of Councillors who was involved in the drafting of the bill, told reporters, "Malicious host clubs are a new unscrupulous business practice, and the legislature must take countermeasures."

The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP) has decided to call on each party to cooperate with the aim of enacting the bill.

A woman who paid about 2 million yen in two years: "The damage will definitely be reduced by law"

Prior to the bill's introduction, the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP) held a meeting to hear from a woman who said she had been forced into prostitution by her hosts.

The woman explained that she had paid about 2 million yen over two years, and said, "Women are forced into prostitution in a state like mind control without realizing that they are being victimized by malicious host clubs.
