NATO is currently trying to convince Kyiv of its determination to continue its military support and that a status quo appears to have frozen on the battlefield. Kiev accuses Moscow of poisoning on Ukrainian soil: they allegedly poisoned the wife of the head of Ukrainian military intelligence who has been hospitalized for more than a week.

Marianna Budanova, the wife of the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, was reportedly poisoned. But for now, it is impossible to precisely date the poisoning. It could even be, according to the Ukrainian military, that the toxic substance was administered several times, mixed with food.

Her husband has survived more than 10 attempted attacks

Her husband, Kyrylo Budanov, has survived more than 10 attempted attacks. Budanov, 37, has gained near-legendary notoriety in Ukraine since the Russian invasion in February 2022. He is suspected by Moscow of being the instigator of several attacks against Russia. His wife, Marianna Budanova, said she lived with him 24 hours a day.

She never left her husband's office for security reasons and she worked remotely for the current mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko. Initial analyses revealed traces of heavy metals, including mercury and arsenic. She is now undergoing treatment. Several other military intelligence officers were also reported to have been intoxicated. The Kremlin, for its part, has not reacted to these accusations.
