Promote the prevention of the source and front-end resolution of commercial disputes involving overseas Chinese

On November 11, the Jiangmen Intermediate People's Court, the Jiangmen Center of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, and the Jiangmen Arbitration Commission jointly signed the "Cooperation Agreement on the Overseas Chinese International Commercial Mediation Center" (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") to jointly build the Overseas Chinese International Commercial Mediation Center and hold an unveiling ceremony to provide efficient and convenient legal services for commercial disputes involving overseas Chinese and Chinese, and to promote the source prevention and front-end resolution of overseas Chinese-related commercial disputes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area at a higher level.

In recent years, with the increase in the number of overseas Chinese-related commercial disputes, in order to solve the difficulties and blockages in handling overseas Chinese-related commercial legal affairs, the difficulty in ascertaining foreign laws, and the complexity of foreign-related litigation processes, and to meet the diverse legal service needs of overseas Chinese and Chinese, the Overseas Chinese International Commercial Mediation Center has introduced the first batch of representative, professional and high-quality commercial mediators from the Faculty of Law of Macau University of Science and Technology, Professor Yi Zaising, and practicing lawyer Feng Meilian in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is better to meet the dispute resolution needs of overseas Chinese investment and expansion of economic and trade exchanges.

In addition, the Agreement also clarifies that the three parties will jointly promote the entrusted mediation mechanism and the normalized information sharing mechanism, and enhance the ability of the Overseas Chinese International Commercial Mediation Center to resolve disputes efficiently, professionally and harmoniously through regular cooperation in holding diversified dispute resolution forums and promoting mediator business training and exchanges.
