As the Russian serviceman shared, the tragedy occurred after two mines and a kamikaze drone flew into the trench.

"It was at 06:00 a.m., my brother and I had a very severe concussion. When I regained consciousness, my brother told me, "I can't feel my legs." Below the knee, two legs were hanging on the skin," the soldier said.

Diesel had been on the line of contact many times, but when he and his brother first entered the trench together, they came under mortar fire. They had to play dead for four hours until the Ukrainian UAV left.

"I still can't believe that I lost my brother here. We've always been together. We went to the positions, we went to the front lines to the defense," says Diesel.

According to him, he still cannot believe that his brother is no more.

On November 23, it became known that Russian correspondent Boris Maksudov died from injuries received in the zone of the special operation.
