This was reported by Beeline to RIA Novosti.

"Attackers call potential victims under the guise of representatives of mobile operators and claim that an application for a change of operator has been submitted to their phone number," the agency said.

When the scammers are told that there have been no such requests, the attackers offer victims to change the password in their personal account in order to ensure the security of the phone number.

Earlier, Dmitry Ibragimov, Deputy Head of the Security Department of the Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia for the Central Federal District, warned that fraudsters could fake the website of a large manufacturer.
