As stated in the material on the agency's website, now the strength of frozen desserts reaches 7-10%, as in low-alcohol drinks.

At the same time, the distribution of alcoholic ice cream is not restricted, since the product is included in the list of goods-exceptions of the list of alcohol-containing products and does not fall under the law on the regulation of the alcohol market and the restrictions established by it.

"As a result, alcoholic ice cream can be freely sold in parks and near children's institutions. There are no restrictions prohibiting the sale of such desserts to children and teenagers," the Ministry of Finance said.

The draft document prepared by the department proposes to limit the maximum content of ethyl alcohol in ice cream and a number of other products to 1.2% by analogy with fermented drinks, kvasses, as well as drinks based on spicy and aromatic plant raw materials.

Earlier, Vadim Drobiz, director of the Center for Research of Federal and Regional Alcohol Markets, commented in an interview with RT on the statement of State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin that it is necessary to solve the problem with the illegal activities of the so-called liqueurs.
