The head of state said this during the plenary session of the World Russian People's Council dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the organization.
"Any attempts to sow ethnic and religious discord, to split our society is a betrayal, a crime against the whole of Russia," the Russian leader stressed.
Putin added that the authorities will not allow anyone to divide Russia.
On October 30, Vladimir Putin held a large meeting on the West's attempts to split Russian society against the backdrop of the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
