As the head of EU diplomacy said at a press conference in Brussels, he has "some experience of discussions" with the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, which took place in difficult situations.
"I will go to the OSCE meeting, we have to go, we are members of this organization, and we have to present our views and counter Russia's statements. But I will not have the opportunity to meet with Minister Lavrov, as I will have to return immediately to take part in a meeting of the European Defense Department," TASS quoted Borrell as saying.
Earlier it became known that the foreign ministers of the Baltic countries are boycotting the OSCE meeting because of Lavrov's arrival.
